Gianna Bentivenga attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where she graduated in Painting. In 1998, she moved to Belgium and at the Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp, she deepened her study of engraving techniques.
Her works are found in numerous public collections in Italy and abroad: Collection of the Albertina Gallery in Vienna; Cabinet of Ancient and Modern Prints of the Municipality of Bagnacavallo (Ravenna); Museum of Contemporary Art of Villa Croce – Genoa; Museum of the Il Pellicano Cultural Foundation Trasanni – Urbino; Municipal Collection of Modern Prints of the Municipality of Cavaion Veronese; Caixanova Print Collection, Ourense – Spain; Museum of Contemporary Art, Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
In 2019, on the occasion of the XIII UNESCO Creative Cities Conference, she created, in collaboration with Umberto Giovannini, Maria Pina Bentivenga, Anusc Castiglioni, and Massimo Zanelli, the Fabriano Paper Pavilion. A wonderful journey, the pavilion entirely dedicated to paper.
