Library
The Library annexed to the Archive of the Miliani Fabriano Paper Mills consists of about 100 linear meters; over 3,029 volumes. It is a library associated with the Archive; specialising in the subject of paper. It is multilingual, and houses unpublished volumes of great prestige and international value.
The volumes are divided into two sections: "Cartiere Miliani Fabriano" and "Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano." The first section consists of volumes from the former Dopolavoro of the Paper Mills and, in part, from the private library of Senator Giovanni Battista Miliani (1856-1937). The second section, on the other hand, is composed of volumes acquired after the establishment of the Foundation (March 8, 2011). The library particularly includes texts and periodicals on the history of Fabriano, the history of paper and watermark manufacturing, theses, Italian and foreign magazines, yearbooks, guides, statistics, censuses, and industrial and commercial exercises, volumes on countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, and prints of artworks on Miliani paper.
The Library of the Historical Archive of the Miliani Paper Mills in Fabriano can be consulted online in OPAC SBN and Biblio Marche Nord, also accessible from the "Digital Archive" section of the Foundation's website.
* The digital transaction activity of the Library within the National Library Service (SBN) was carried out thanks to the contribution granted by the Marche Region under L.R. n. 4/2010 – DGR n. 495/2022 – Regional Library System.
