Maria Pina Bentivenga
Maria Pina Bentivenga graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where she began her research in engraving and participated in important national and international exhibitions. Since 2000, she has been teaching Special Graphic Techniques and Art Graphics at R.U.F.A. (Rome University of Fine Arts), and Printing Techniques (Typography) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
Her works are found in numerous public collections in Italy and abroad: National Institute for Graphics in Rome; Collection of the Albertina Gallery in Vienna; Cabinet of Ancient and Modern Prints of the Municipality of Bagnacavallo (Ravenna); Alberto Sartori Print Collection – Mantua; Museum of Contemporary Art of Villa Croce – Genoa; Museum of the Il Pellicano Cultural Foundation Trasanni – Urbino; Bertarelli Civic Collection in Milan; Municipal Collection of Modern Prints of the Municipality of Cavaion Veronese; Caixanova Print Collection, Ourense – Spain; Print Collection of Acqui Terme (AL).
In 2019, on the occasion of the XIII UNESCO Creative Cities Conference, she created, in collaboration with Gianna Bentivenga, Anusc Castiglioni, Umberto Giovannini, and Massimo Zanelli, the Fabriano Paper Pavilion. A wonderful journey, the pavilion entirely dedicated to paper.
