The Fedrigoni Fabriano Foundation Welcomes the Young People of Future Campus Fabriano
For the second consecutive year, the Fedrigoni Fabriano Foundation opened its doors to the students of Future Campus Fabriano, the innovative educational program promoted by Confindustria Ancona that helps young people in the local area discover their talents, explore their region and its excellence, and develop a more informed vision of their future. This year, the initiative achieved an outstanding result, engaging more than 200 students aged 14 to 19 in a program of experiential learning, workshops, and site visits.
It was a valuable opportunity for interaction between younger generations and the historical heritage of our city, transformed into a dynamic, engaging, and educational experience.
Committed to preserving and promoting the culture of paper, the Foundation guided the students through the Historic Paper Mills Complex with a tour of the Fabriano Paper Pavilion and a creative drawing workshop led by artist Gabriele Mazzara. But the experience did not end there: participants had the opportunity to literally get their hands wet by learning the ancient craft of handmade papermaking under the guidance of the Master Papermakers of Cartiera Fabriano.
Each student created a sheet of handmade paper, rediscovering age-old techniques that still tell a story of excellence, innovation, and passion. It was a unique opportunity to transform knowledge into direct experience and engage firsthand with one of the most authentic symbols of Fabriano’s identity. In a world moving ever faster toward innovation, initiatives like this remind us of the importance of memory, identity, and the value of local excellence. Renowned worldwide as the city of paper, Fabriano is not only the guardian of an extraordinary heritage but also a place that continues to generate culture, knowledge, and innovation.
The enthusiasm, curiosity, and active participation shown by the students throughout the day confirm that dialogue between generations is not only possible, but essential for building the future.
