Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano is promoting a three-day workshop dedicated to “Traditional Japanese techniques and materials for the restoration of works of art on paper”, held by Maria Vera Quattrini, a conservator of works of art on paper who lived in Japan for a long time, organized in the Foundation's Conservation Laboratory.

The laboratory, inaugurated in May 2023 and curated by conservator Stefania Zeppieri, was created with the aim of being a meeting point and reference point between the different skills and sectors of research that revolve around the world of paper and watermarks, and constitutes a support for research activity in general.

The workshop is aimed at 12 professional restorers or recent graduates of the five-year single-cycle degree courses in “Conservation of cultural heritage - PFP5” and will be activated only if the minimum number of 8 participants is reached. A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the workshop. The workshop will be held in Italian. Below the program.

The participation fee, which includes lessons and teaching materials, is €350 to be paid at the time of registration, which must be completed by filling out the appropriate online form available on the Fondazione Fedrigoni Fabriano website by 15 September 2024.
