A video trailer to showcase three days of events dedicated to paper
From September 20 to 22, 2024, hundreds of people enlivened the Historic Paper Mill Complex during “Fabriano. Paper is Culture.”
Guided tours and engaging activities allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the culture of paper. On Friday the 20th, historians and philologists discussed “Fabriano between Paper and Watermarks. Tradition, Expansion, and Innovation,” the second volume - following the award-winning one on Augusto Zonghi - dedicated by the Foundation to Fabriano watermarks. Meanwhile, on Saturday and Sunday, the historic Paper Mill Complex hosted the workshop “Traditional Japanese Bindings: Creations with Fabriano Paper,” promoted by the FABRIANO brand in collaboration with the Fedrigoni Fabriano Foundation. This workshop fascinated all participants, offering an immersion into oriental artisanal techniques using FABRIANO paper, along with guided tours of the Fabriano Paper Pavilion. A wonderful journey and the “Paper Route” path were enriched by the presence of master papermakers from the Fabriano paper mill, who demonstrated the live handmade paper production according to ancient tradition, and the extraordinary opening of the FABRIANO brand showroom. It was a unique opportunity for visitors to discover the secrets of paper production and the history behind each sheet of paper. A journey through time and tradition.
